Job Purpose:
The Cleaning Supervisor will oversee and manage the cleaning division , ensuring high standards of service delivery to commercial clients. The role requires leadership in staff management, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision and Management
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of cleaning staff.
- Develop and maintain cleaning schedules to meet client requirements.
- Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations.
- Address disciplinary issues and implement corrective measures.
- Operational Management
- Monitor and ensure adherence to cleaning protocols and standards.
- Manage and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies inventory.
- Coordinate staffing and resource allocation to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure service quality and compliance.
- Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for commercial cleaning clients.
- Address and resolve client complaints or concerns promptly.
- Maintain regular communication to ensure client satisfaction.
- Prepare and present reports on cleaning operations to management and clients.
- Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
- Train staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, leave, and performance.
- Prepare and manage budgets for the cleaning division.
- Report on division performance and submit regular updates to management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- Grade 12/Matric certificate required.
- Diploma or certification in cleaning management or related field (advantageous).
- Experience:
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a commercial cleaning environment.
- Proven track record in managing teams and client relationships.
- Knowledge of cleaning industry standards and best practices.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational management software.
- Ability to manage multiple sites and teams effectively.
