Based in Sandton, a Fortune 500 global entertainment company is seeking an experienced TV Media Analyst to join their team. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with a proven track record in TV media research and a strong interest in both Linear TV and Streaming. Job scope:
Gain knowledge and experience by analysing diverse target markets across multiple kids, entertainment and factual TV channels plus the Streaming business as well
Gain commercial insight by supporting different commercial teams: Programming, Marketing, Ad Sales and External Clients
Key responsibilities:
This TV media analyst will get the chance to perform a wide array of analyses and functions. Some examples are:
Prepare complex TV ratings research reports and identify TV audience trends and gaps – present findings in a user-friendly fashion using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
Develop Programming and Counter-Programming strategies
Co-ordinate optimisation of break’s line up strategy
Regularly conduct research and \ or do special projects to support internal teams
TV Campaign analysis and margin management
Conceptualise and produce media strategies and solutions
Manage clients and build relationships
Qualifications:
Minimum three years in a media research analyst role (or similar)
Ideally a degree or diploma in media and \ or business
Deep knowledge of the South African TV market, audiences and ratings analysis techniques for both TV and Streaming
Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tech Edge, Telmar, Arianna
Very strong quantitative, analytical and data mining skills
