Job Opportunity: Accounts Clerk

About Us

East Rand Bulk is a leading, accredited fuel transportation company. We pride ourselves on reliability and industry excellence. We are currently seeking a young, vibrant, and energetic individual to join our dynamic team.

Main Purpose of the Role

As our Accounts Clerk, you will perform vital financial and administrative tasks. Your daily focus will include invoicing, account reconciliations, repayment processing, debt calculation, and proactive outstanding debt collection.

Key Responsibilities

Invoicing: Generate accurate and timely billing for clients.
Reconciliations: Balance and verify ledger accounts regularly.
Debt Management: Calculate outstanding debt and execute collections.
Query Handling: Resolve supplier and customer accounts queries efficiently.
Processing: Manage data entry for both credit and VAT functions.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar account’s role.
Software: Strong, hands-on experience using Sage Evolution.
Core Knowledge: Double-entry processing for both Debtors and Creditors.
Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of Credit and VAT processing.
Skills: Excellent communication, reconciliation, and query resolution skills.
Advantageous: Any formal Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification.

Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail under pressure.
Independence: Ability to work unsupervised and manage your time.
Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse team.
Professionalism: High level of work pride and strong decision-making skills.
