A provider of high-tech, proprietary ceramic coatings and thermal spray repair solutions. Not only do their coatings alleviate erosion and corrosion, but it also acts as a visual aid, indicating the lifetime status of the coating, allowing operators and inspectors to visually see areas of severe erosion and/or corrosion and to take the appropriate corrective action timeously. Industries served include power generation, petrochemical plants, pulp and paper mills, steel manufacturers as well as coal and CFB plants.
The Sales Representative will be paid a fixed salary for the first 3 months of employment whereafter the remuneration will change into a basic plus commission package. The remuneration will be agreed and finalized with the Sales Rep before the Rep’s employment commences. The commission is an attractive benefit and is open ended – the rep can earn a substantial commission.
You will have a sales target of minimum R165k per month after having been in the service of the company for 3 months. Target markets, industries and territories will be discussed with the Sales Rep once the Rep’s training has been completed.

Objectives of the role:
To represent the company products and services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding of the complete coatings products and services range.
Have a clear understanding of the company’s sales funnel approach to market development and achievement of sales targets.
Follow up on the product/service needs with consumer research to identify how our solutions meet all the needs of our potential customers.
Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets through the successful implementation of relevant sales strategies and tactics.
Generate leads and build relationships planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales candidates.
Develop and implement weekly sales plans based on the principle of seeing at least 5 customers on an ordinary sales day.
Spend at least 4 full days “on the road” seeing customers and one day (currently Friday) at the office for the sales and other relevant meetings.
Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field.
Daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities:
Present the weekly report on customer visits in the past week as well as the customer visit plan for the next week at the weekly coordination meeting.
Maintain working relationships with existing customers to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all sales and service categories offered.
Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and manage , and if needed , relay objection handling to person(s) that are able to resolve such objections. Objections/ issues and queries will be addressed internally before it is escalated.
Prepare professional, complete, concise, and accurate reports, proposals, and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations.
Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and presentations.
Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interest, competitor activities and potential for new products and services.
Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
Continuously improve through feedback.
Coordinate with colleagues to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring.
Perform , in conjunction with management, cost – benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to meet their needs.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Skills:
Minimum of 10 years as Sales Representative.
Strong knowledge of MS Office.
Highly motivated and target driven.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs.
Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
Proficiency with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) principles and practices.
Personal integrity.
Qualifications:
Minimum grade 12 qualification.
A technical diploma will be a distinct advantage.
Proven Sales success rate at levels exceeding targets.
Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
Strong organizational skills.
