Position: Call Order Cook

Industry: Restaurants/Hospitality

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

About the Role

We are seeking for a skilled and energetic Call Order Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to customer orders while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and efficiency in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Read and execute customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations all times.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front of house staff to ensure excellent customer service.
Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as required.

Requirements

Grade 12
Culinary certificate would be an added advantage
3 years' experience as a cook, line cook, grill cook or call order cook.
Experience in restaurants, catering or fast-paced food establishments.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
