Full Job Description

Jacaranda International Pre-Primary and School is located in The Reeds, Centurion. At our school, we are committed to providing a dynamic and innovative educational experience for our students, guided by the principles of 21st-century teaching and learning.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team at Jacaranda International Pre-Primary and School. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to grow their career in accounting and finance. The Junior Bookkeeper will assist the Financial Senior Manager in managing day-to-day financial tasks, including data entry, organising accounts, assisting with customer queries and maintaining financial records using Sage/Pastel.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the daily bookkeeping tasks, including processing payments, invoices, and receipts
Record financial transactions in the accounting system (SAGE)
Assist customers with any financial queries or complaints
Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Support the finance team and Senior Manager with any other accounting duties as needed

Qualifications:

Some experience in bookkeeping or accounting (internship or previous role preferred)
Familiarity with SAGE/Pastel accounting software is essential
Basic understanding of financial principles and practices
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Contract type: Contract position, with possibility of becoming Permanent depending on performance.
