PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Customer Marketing Coordinator is responsible for bringing Exim's B2B brands to life in the marketplace through effective activation, trade marketing, execution and customer-focused campaigns.
The role acts as the link between Marketing, Sales, Customers, Field Marketing and Cash & Carry operations to ensure that promotional plans, product launches, customer campaigns and brand activations are implemented with excellence.
Success in this role is measured not by advertising outputs, but by execution quality, customer participation, sales impact, retail visibility and campaign performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Marketing & Brand Activation
· Coordinate the implementation of customer marketing plans across Exim's portfolio of B2B brands.
· Develop activation plans that support customer growth and brand visibility.
· Execute promotional campaigns for brands including (Grill Club, Favourites, Veld & Vleis, Big Five, Nyama Choma)
· Ensure promotional campaigns are implemented consistently across regions.
· Support Regional Sales Managers with campaign rollout and execution tracking.
· Coordinate launch activities for new products and customer initiatives.
2. Trade Marketing & Retail Execution
· Develop customer-specific promotional proposals and activation plans.
· Coordinate promotional materials, prizes and merchandising requirements.
· Ensure point-of-sale material is developed, distributed and implemented effectively.
· Work closely with Sales teams to identify customer activation opportunities.
· Support customers with promotional campaigns that drive product sales and brand visibility.
· Monitor implementation quality and compliance in-store.
3. Cash & Carry Marketing
· Coordinate themed promotional campaigns within Exim's Cash & Carry stores.
· Ensure promotional products are merchandised effectively.
· Implement seasonal and category-based campaigns.
· Coordinate in-store displays, promotional signage and merchandising materials.
· Work with branch teams to maintain display standards and campaign execution.
· Monitor campaign effectiveness and customer engagement.
4. Events & Customer Engagement
· Coordinate customer events and brand experiences.
· Support the planning and execution of:
- Customer appreciation events, Demonstrations, Golf days, Trade shows, Product launch events, Industry exhibitions
· Manage event logistics and promotional materials.
· Ensure professional brand representation at all events.
5. Field Marketing Coordination
· Coordinate activities with the Field Marketing team.
· Consolidate and analyse field marketing data.
· Track:
- Number of demonstrations completed, Products demonstrated, Customer participation, Geographic coverage, Sales opportunities generated
· Identify trends and opportunities from field activity data.
· Provide feedback and recommendations to Sales and Marketing teams.
6. Promotional Asset & Inventory Management
· Manage promotional inventory and marketing support materials.
· Maintain stock levels of Aprons, Caps, Gazebos, Promotional merchandise, POS materials, Events supp items
· Coordinate production and replenishment requirements.
· Ensure marketing materials are available when required.
7. Campaign Performance & Data Analysis
· Measure and report on campaign performance.
· Track promotional return on investment.
· Analyse campaign participation and sales impact.
· Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
· Identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness and execution quality.
· Support data-driven decision-making across Marketing and Sales teams.
8. Marketing Operations Support
· Support the overall coordination of marketing projects.
· Ensure timelines, budgets and deliverables are achieved.
· Coordinate suppliers, agencies and production partners.
· Assist with the execution of strategic marketing priorities.
· Maintain marketing documentation, templates and records.
Pay: R30 000,00 - R38 000,00 per month
