Are you a skilled Senior Refrigeration Technician looking to advance your career with a dynamic, growing team in the Western Cape? Step into a rewarding role where your expertise keeps commercial cooling systems running at peak performance!

Our client is an established technical solutions provider specializing in temperature-controlled systems and specialist equipment operations. They deliver end-to-end design, installation, and ongoing maintenance services for commercial clients.

We are seeking a trade-tested Refrigeration Technician based in the Western Caoe to lead site installations, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot defective commercial refrigeration units, and supervise junior technical staff in the field.

Key responsibilities

Maintain, service, and troubleshoot existing commercial refrigeration cabinets in the trade.
Carry out new cabinet installations and ensure all job sites are left clean and safe.
Supervise, mentor, and guide junior technical staff on-site, ensuring high standards of work and professional conduct.
Ensure strict compliance with Health and Safety standards on all customer sites.
Accurately complete, sign, and stamp job cards, delivery notes, and expense reconciliations for prompt submission to the Helpdesk.
Take responsibility for company assets, including vehicle maintenance, clean driving practices, and tool care.
Provide professional customer service on-site and assist with monthly stock takes.

Requirements

4-6 years' experience in a similar role
Refrigeration Mechanic Trade Test (Commercial).
Valid Safe Handling & Gas Certification.
Valid South African driver’s licence.
Proven experience servicing commercial refrigeration or air-conditioning systems.
Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
Willingness to work on a standby rotation.
