We are looking for a warm, caring and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our 1 - 2 year-old class as an assistant teacher.
We are looking for someone with a genuine love for toddlers who is patient, energetic, reliable, and passionate about Early Childhood Development. If you enjoy nurturing little ones during these important developmental years and thrive in a team environment, we would love to hear from you!
Minimum Requirements:
* ECD Qualification (NQF Level 4 or 5 minimum)
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children aged 1–2 years
* Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Professional, well-presented and reliable
* A genuine love for children and a passion for Early Childhood Development
* Patient, caring and nurturing by nature
* Able to work well within a team
* Reside in the Helderberg or surrounding areas
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher with implementing the daily programme and lesson plans
* Prepare and set up age-appropriate learning activities
* Provide a loving, safe and stimulating environment for the children
* Assist with nappy changing, toilet training and personal care where required
* Supervise and engage learners throughout the day
* Take daily photographs for parent communication
* Assist with snack and mealtimes
* Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic classroom
* Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all learners at all times
* Build positive relationships with parents, learners and colleagues
* Assist with general classroom and school duties as required
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday (Shift Basis)
* 07:00 – 17:00 or * 07:30 – 17:30
Salary: R5 800 per month
