Please note: this is a live-in position

Job Summary

The Food & Beverage Supervisor provides professional Food & Beverage services to guests ensuring the highest level of responsiveness, care and attention to individual needs and expectations. This role is responsible to oversee and supervise other Food & Beverage attendants.

Job Requirements

Thinking Ability

Absorbs and interprets information and instructions accurately
Intermediate levels of reasoning and interpretation of information
Ability to listen and correctly follow detailed information and instructions
Ability to recognise service, safety or security concerns

Academic Qualifications and Work Experience

Completed Grade 12 education/equivalent
Some formal professional development in Food and Beverage

Job Technical Skills

Competent in Food and Beverage operational skills and knowledge
Ability to follow set standards of performance as expected by the organisation
Knowledgeable about different sequences of service including breakfast, a la Carte, Table d’hôte, buffet and room service
Conversant with Food and Beverage terminology
Ability to work in dining rooms, outside service areas, banqueting, room service and off-site catering environments

Committed to providing exceptional levels of service to others
Dedicated to achieving high standards by working with others in a friendly and professional manner
Committed to continuously developing Food & Beverage skills and expertise
Demonstrates exceptional levels of integrity and empathy
