Full Job Description

We are seeking a professional and well-spoken Switchboard Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming calls, directing calls to the correct departments or individuals, and ensuring that all callers receive courteous and efficient assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner
Transfer calls to the appropriate staff members or departments
Take accurate messages and ensure they are delivered promptly
Handle general enquiries from customers and clients
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times
Assist with basic administrative duties when required
Ensure the switchboard system is managed efficiently throughout the day

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ previous experience as a switchboard operator, receptionist, or in a similar role
Excellent verbal communication skills
Professional telephone etiquette
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Computer literacy
Valid driver’s licence
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
