My client is a growing accounting firm providing innovative business solutions to clients across multiple sectors, through cloud-based tools and resources alongside personalised attention and interaction.
Role Purpose
To coordinate and oversee financial operations across payroll, taxation and bookkeeping, tax planning. This role also ensures compliance, drives efficiency through cloud-based accounting systems and provides strategic input into financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration of client accounts, ensuring accurate allocation, compliance with fiduciary responsibilities and transparent reporting to stakeholders.
- Manage and execute e‑filing processes for tax submissions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Champion the use of cloud-based accounting platforms, driving adoption and optimisation across the organisation.
- Analyse financial data and prepare reports that inform senior management decisions.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of financial policies and procedures to strengthen governance.
- Collaborate with other departments to compile, interpret and present financial data.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, standards and tax laws, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of organisational procedures and regulation.
- Assist in preparing for yearly financial statements, supplying accurate and timely financial data.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional certification (SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA) highly advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel.
- Advanced working knowledge of cloud-based accounting platforms (non-negotiable).
- Comprehensive understanding of taxation processes and e-filing systems (non-negotiable).
- Working knowledge in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
- Solid background in financial administration and operational finance.
- Prior experience in a professional practice environment (essential).
