Reporting to the Managing Director,the Plant GM is responsible for the overall leadership and coordination of manufacturing, engineering projects, and associated activities at the plants. This role ensures that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, while maintaining high product quality and operational standards.
Key responsibilities include overseeing site maintenance, health and safety compliance projects and driving continuous improvement across production, quality.

Key Focus Areas
- Strategic & Operational Leadership – Maximise plant capacity and align operations to growth targets through efficient production and inventory planning.
- Production Excellence – Ensure cost, quality, and output targets are met with strict adherence to SOPs and product specs.
- Continuous Improvement – Boost yields, reduce costs, improve uptime, and optimise energy usage using Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
- Maintenance & Projects – Oversee maintenance programmes, technical procurement, and equipment installations.
- Procurement & Stock Control – Implement robust buying processes, maintain optimal stock levels, and manage accurate production tracking.
- Quality & Compliance – Uphold certifications, enforce SOPs, and maintain top product standards.
- Safety, Security & Sustainability – Ensure full HSE compliance, environmental awareness, and effective traceability.
- Team Development – Set clear goals, mentor, and drive succession planning.
Qualification and Experience

B.Eng or B.Sc in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical).

Extensive experience in the Food or FMCG manufacturing sector, with proven leadership and management capabilities.

Strong understanding of engineering principles and plant maintenance practices.

GCC Factories and Works certification is highly advantageous.

Demonstrated experience in mechanical design, P&ID development, project management, R&D, commissioning, and project execution.

Hands-on engineering experience with a track record of driving process optimization and operational improvements.

Proficiency in software applications for capital cost estimation and project scoping.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics accurately.

In-depth understanding of manufacturing best practices; familiarity with edible oil production processes is an advantage.

Competent in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
