Full Job Description

About the Position

Cultura Fresh is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Controller to join our pack-house team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the production process, ensuring that all products meet company, customer and food safety standards. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct quality inspections during production and packing.
Monitor product quality against customer specifications.
Identify and report quality concerns and assist with corrective actions.
Complete quality control records accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and company procedures.
Monitor product handling, packaging and labelling.
Assist with internal quality checks and audits.
Communicate quality issues with production and management teams.
Promote continuous improvement in quality standards.

Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric).
Relevant qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Quality Assurance or a related field will be advantageous.
Previous quality control experience in a food production, packhouse or agricultural environment will be advantageous.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
