As an Associate Attorney here, you'll embrace a dynamic role where your litigation expertise will truly shine. You'll confidently manage legal cases, particularly within the realms of the Marchman Act and Guardianship. While experience in the behavioral health sector is a plus, it's your drive and courtroom presence that truly matter.

Compensation:

$18,000 - $23,000

Responsibilities:

Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
Talented communicator and writer
3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills
