About the Role
Daragen (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and fully accredited Electric Fence System Installer (EFSI) to oversee a specialized high-security fencing project at Mapungubwe. The successful candidate will be the legally appointed "Responsible Persons" for the installation, testing, and certification of the electric fence system.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end installation of high-security/predator electric fencing.
- Ensure all work complies with SANS 10222 and SANS 60335 standards.
- Conduct final inspections and testing of the system.
- Issue the Electric Fence System Compliance Certificate (EFCC) upon project completion.
- Manage a team of junior installers/laborers to ensure technical precision.
Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following credentials as per Department of Labour regulations:
- Current DEL Registration: Valid registration as an Electric Fence System Installer (EFSI).
- Wireman’s License: Registered with the Department of Labour as a Single Phase Tester, Installation Electrician (IE), or Master Installation Electrician (MIE).
- EWSETA Accreditation: Valid Statement of Results (SOR) for Unit Standard 252154.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale or high-security electric fence installations.
- Valid Driver’s License: Required for site access.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in environmentally sensitive areas or national parks.
- Knowledge of predator-grade fencing energizers and grounding systems.
- Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
