Senior Management Reporting Analyst

Location: Hybrid/ 3 Days on site, Stellenbosch, Western Cape

Duration: 6 Months (September 2026 - February 2027)

Purpose of the job

Responsible for financial reporting and assistance with statutory reporting. Compile and assist to develop insightful reports and analysis to be used by senior leadership. Support the reporting function and wider business community with information requests. Ensure integrity in reporting, systems and build trust with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure integrity in financial results used for strategic decision making
Build trust in the corporate finance function throughout the business through data and analysis integrity
Govern and support the Exceptional Item and Amortisation of acquisition related intangible asset process (EIA process) for CIL submissions to allow Before EIA (BEIA) reporting and support other CIL submissions
Develop new governance checks for the various reporting models (South Africa, International, South Africa and International combined, NBL, CVH, legacy Distell) both for management reporting and recon to BPC (used for statutory reporting) and automate
Cross functional work to ensure alignment on methods and logic with other areas for example business control
Review of key metrics and outputs for accuracy, completeness and integrity
Ad hoc support for HT&R, CW and Durbanville Hills reports as well as contact for system support
Ensure a smooth reporting process each month to internal and external stakeholders through
- ad hoc review of results to be on time (in full) and at the required quality
- support of reconciliations between different reporting platforms
- manage and drive suggestions to improve and automate reporting platforms
- Business performance reviews (BPR)
- The client Board
- The client SA Board
- Internal Management Team (MT) reporting and analysis at various levels (South Africa and International consolidated or stand alone)
- Remgro reporting both secretarial and financial departments
- Remgro CEO reports
Review of various reporting outputs at different levels for different stakeholders
Assist with ad hoc inquiries and analytics
- the conducting of analytical reviews of performance, detail investigations and the identifying of areas for investigation
- driving the change required from investigations to improve outcomes
- by engaging with others to obtain information
- through regular involvement in ad hoc projects and investigations
- develop specifications for creating dashboards and testing and completion of dashboards
Troubleshooting: Quality check and assist with identification of potential issues proactively
Statutory reporting:

Responsible to ensure that additional deadlines for interim and year-end reporting requirements are met
Assist with ad hoc requests, including IFRS
Ensuring integrity used between statutory reporting and other reporting
Reconciliations between statutory reporting and other reporting
Headline earnings and EBITDA calculations

Responsible for the approval of GL’s by evaluating and considering the impact of GL master data creation and maintenance on reporting
Provide a high standard of customer service to all internal, external customers and work partners
Build and maintain constructive working relationships with customers, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders
Continuous development and optimisation of reporting and processes to provide meaningful financial information to assist in decision making
Get involved in the system workings and assist with continuous enhancements and automation of reporting packs.
Guide juniors as required

Minimum Requirement:

Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA)

Experience:

At least 3-5 years post article experience
Knowledge of SAP, SAP BW, SAP BPC and Analysis for Office would be advantageous
Extensive Microsoft Excel skills
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in fast paced environment
Able to support multiple work streams within the month end close
Work in cross-functional teams and in a multi-national company with Global requirements
Take on broader roles in the finance organization
Builds collaborative relationship and networks – People and relationship building centric. Develops internal/external relationships with an Organisation focus, to resolve both short-term issues and advance longer-term projects/work.
Deadline driven with a sense of urgency
Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential.
Self-starter, the ability to work independently and under pressure.
