COST CONTROLLER
The above-mentioned vacancy existsat VOMS Industrial. Applications areinvited from suitably qualified candidates to fill this position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal applicant will possess the following: -
- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Accounting, Business Management, Human Resources, Inventory Management and/or Manufacturing.
- Previous working experience of ± 3 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the remanufacturing of automotive components, i.e., engines, gearboxes, axles, starters, alternators, brake components, fuel pumps, injectors, retreading of tyres and upholstery work.
JOB OUTPUTS
- Skiving of tyre casings.
- Opening and closing of jobs on a daily basis.
- Manage posting of labour hours.
- Formalize quotations (liaising with the line manager).
- Manage dispatch of units.
- Accurate costing of material and labour for all jobs.
- Reconciling daily and monthly production statistics.
- Partake in MID/YE stock take.
- Follow up with relevant Foreman on outstanding jobs.
- Provide monthly feedback on the status of WIP jobs.
- Ensure that stock returns take place.
- Assist with Debtors administration – creation of invoice/filing.
- Assist with general financial administration duties.
- Controlling and assisting in managing the factory job cards system.
- Perform costing analysis for engineering division WIP and final finished product.
- Ensure staff compliment are correctly allocated to direct and indirect costs in the general ledger.
- Ensure proper record keeping within VOMS engineering and finance department.
- Provide a general administrative support service.
- Provide relief for invoicing of tyres/brakes and Seat plants.
- Administration e.g. clock cards, leave forms, AARs, weekly wages input. time and attendance in general.
- Inventory valuation (ensure that stock balances are in line with receipts and consumption).
- Share knowledge and provide training to colleagues and subordinates.
