About the Role
Ntiyiso is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager / Revenue Stream Lead to join our Revenue Leakage Programme. The successful candidate will independently lead one of the Big 5 municipal revenue streams from mobilisation through to validated recovery action, driving stakeholder engagement, governance, revenue leakage identification, validation, and implementation of recovery initiatives. This role requires a strong consulting mindset, municipal revenue management experience, and the ability to work effectively with executive stakeholders to deliver measurable financial and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead an assigned revenue stream from mobilisation through to implementation and benefits realisation.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across Finance, Billing, ICT, GIS, Revenue, Legal, Technical Operations and Credit Control functions.
- Develop and manage workstream plans, governance structures, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Translate business requirements into hypotheses, analyses, validation activities and recovery actions.
- Review and challenge analytical findings and ensure all recommendations are evidence-based.
- Facilitate validation workshops and obtain stakeholder approval on findings and recovery opportunities.
- Develop implementation-ready action plans and monitor progress against agreed outcomes.
- Prepare executive reports, Steering Committee packs and programme status updates.
- Track and report revenue recovery benefits in line with programme governance requirements.
- Coach and support analysts and workstream resources where required.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Honours Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Public Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Management or a related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years' relevant experience in management consulting, municipal revenue management, financial management, programme delivery or business transformation.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and client-facing engagements.
- Strong understanding of municipal revenue management, revenue assurance and meter-to-cash processes.
- Experience with municipal revenue streams, including electricity, water and sanitation, property rates and refuse services.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, problem-solving and communication skills.
