Full Job Description

Job Specification: Data Analyst – Strategic Affiliates Team

Purpose of the role

The Data Analyst will support the Strategic Affiliates Operations team by providing accurate, timely, and actionable insights into affiliate performance. This role is designed for an entry-level professional with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for data-driven decision-making. The analyst will contribute to monitoring premiums, claims, commissions, and operational efficiency across affiliates, ensuring alignment with portfolio resilience and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection: Gather, clean, and validate affiliate data from multiple sources (internal systems, SSRS reports, and Affiliate Data System Integration).
Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as claims ratios, margins, and premium growth across affiliates, highlighting variances against targets.
Reporting Support: Assist in preparing structured reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for Product Committee and board-level reviews.
Trend Analysis: Identify emerging patterns in claims, commissions, and operational adherence to support risk mitigation strategies.
Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Provide data-driven insights to operations managers and affiliate partners, supporting collaborative decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python and exposure to BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS).
3-5 years’ Experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate findings clearly in structured formats (tables, charts, executive summaries).
Familiarity with insurance operations or financial services is advantageous.

Communication: Present data in clear, concise, and professional formats for senior stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work effectively within cross-functional teams (Operations, Actuarial, IT, MIS).

Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and reliability in all reporting outputs.
