Full Job Description

Production Supervisor – Powder Coating (Small Company)

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Production Supervisor to manage the day-to-day running of our powder-coating workshop.

The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping production organized, making sure work is completed correctly and on time, and managing the workshop team.

Main duties

Plan and organize the daily production workload.
Allocate tasks to workshop staff.
Monitor the progress of work throughout the day.
Make sure jobs move through the workshop without unnecessary delays.
Check that the correct powder, colour and specifications are being used.
Monitor powder and chemical stock and report when stock needs to be ordered.
Check the quality of completed work before it is sent to the customer.
Identify and solve production problems.
Make sure workshop staff follow instructions, procedures and safety requirements.
Keep the workshop organised and ensure daily cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed.
Receive customer deliveries and assist customers collecting completed work.
Make sure delivery notes and other production paperwork are completed correctly.
Communicate important problems or delays to management.
Take responsibility for the overall running of the production floor.

Has good powder-coating experience.
Has previous experience leading or supervising other workers.
Can work without being constantly told what to do.
Can organise their own work and the work of others.
Can make sensible decisions.
Can solve problems when things don't go according to plan.
Takes responsibility for their work and their team.
Can give clear instructions.
Has good communication skills.
Is able to deal with customers professionally.
Is reliable and takes pride in good-quality work.
Is willing to be hands-on when required.

Important

This is a working supervisor position. The successful candidate will be expected to lead the team while also understanding and assisting with the practical work when necessary.

We are a small company, but we are an extremely fast-paced production environment. We need someone who can think on their feet, manage changing priorities and keep the team moving without constant supervision.

Pay: From R9 000,00 per month
