The Financial Accountant will be accountable for the month-end process and coordination of the 2025/26 externa audit. Financial Accountant will report directly to the National Finance Manager and lead the Head Office finance team.

KEY PERFORMANCES

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to

· Providing and interpreting of accurate financial information to the branches

· Preparation of the annual financial statements

· Maintain accurate, real-time financial records using Xero's bank feeds and automated expense tracking.

· Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledgers daily or monthly to identify and resolve discrepancies.

· Preparation of ad hoc reports required by the National Finance Manager.

· Assist the finance team in the formulation, and implementation of appropriate accounting policies and procedures.

· Ensure compliance with MES Purchasing Process.

· Manage communication with external auditors.

· Preparation and submission of PAYE Reconciliation to SARS (EMP501)

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS REQUIRED

Ø Xero accounting system and Payspace would be a beneficial

Ø Managing a company audit

Ø Supervising Junior Finance Teams

Ø Ability to analyze financial data, create financial forecasts, and assist with budgeting.

REQUIREMENTS

Ø B. Com Degree in Accounting or equivalent

Ø Three years’ experience as a Financial Accountant

Ø Experiential knowledge of the NGO/PBC sector would be beneficial

Please note that only candidates who are eligible to work in South Africa will be considered for this position.

Pay: R28 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
