As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and assertive Quality Control Officer to join our Projects team and ensure that every project is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on construction sites, has a keen eye for detail, and is committed to ensuring that work is completed correctly the first time.
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field (minimum NQF Level 6).
- Alternatively, a relevant trade qualification (such as a Wireman's Licence or Artisan Qualification) supported by significant site experience.
- ISO 9001 awareness or Quality Management training will be advantageous.
- 1–3 years' experience in construction, engineering or quality assurance.
- Solar EPC experience will be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience working on active construction sites.
- Exposure to quality inspections, commissioning activities, snag lists or Inspection & Test Plans.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, single line diagrams and construction specifications.

- Conduct structured quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle, including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works.
- Verify workmanship against approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
- Inspect materials delivered to site to ensure compliance with approved specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Identify, document and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) through to successful close-out.
- Perform scheduled and random site quality audits across multiple projects.
- Monitor subcontractors and installation teams to ensure compliance with approved method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality procedures.
- Verify that construction teams are working from the latest approved documentation and drawings.
- Coordinate quality hold points, witness points and review points with Construction Managers.
- Independently verify Construction Manager quality sign-offs before project milestones are approved.
- Participate in site meetings and provide objective quality feedback to the Head of Projects.
- Maintain accurate quality registers, inspection records and project documentation.
- Compile quality reports, corrective action requests and close-out documentation.
- Support project handovers by ensuring all quality documentation is complete and audit ready.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and develop expertise in Solar PV construction quality, testing and commissioning.
