Clockwork is a global creative agency working with brands like Microsoft Xbox and publishers such as Konami, delivering socially led campaigns that reach gaming communities around the world.
We’re looking for a Conceptual Copywriter who gets it - a gamer first. Someone who lives in the ecosystem, understands player mindset, internet culture, fandoms, and what makes gaming communities tick.

Role Overview
As a Copywriter, you’ll develop original, compelling copy across campaigns, launches, and always‑on content. Working closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, designers, and production teams, you’ll help shape ideas from early concepts through to final delivery.
You’ll translate strategy into storytelling that feels authentic to gamers whether that’s campaign lines, social content, in game adjacent messaging, trailers, digital platforms, or brand narratives. Strong conceptual thinking, attention to detail, and cultural awareness are essential.
Key Responsibilities

Write clear, compelling, and technically precise copy across short and long form formats.

Conceptualise and develop campaign ideas in collaboration with Copy Leads, Designers, Art Directors, and production teams.

Craft copy that speaks authentically to player communities, fans, and entertainment audiences.

Develop campaign messaging across digital and social.

Present creative ideas and concepts confidently to internal teams and stakeholders.

Ensure all copy aligns with briefs, brand voice, tone, and strategic objectives.

Collaborate closely with designers, strategists, to bring ideas to life at a high level of craft.

Manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast paced, release driven environment.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Copywriter or Conceptual Copywriter in an agency, entertainment, or digital creative environment.

Exceptional writing skills across long form, short form, and headline driven copy.

Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to turn insights into memorable ideas.

Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary creative teams.

Confident communication.
