We are currently recruiting for a motivated individual to join our Technical Learnership Programme. This opportunity is specifically aimed at People Living with Disabilities who are eager to gain practical workplace exposure and develop technical skills within Siemens Mobility
Role Headline
The learner will support the planning, development, and implementation of defined test processes, methods, and applications while gaining valuable workplace experience in a technical environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with preparing relevant parts and sequences of test programmes according to defined test plans.
- Support testing sequences and document results according to defined rules and procedures.
- Assist with diagnostic measures in the event of deviations and support the assessment of test results.
- Support the analysis of test sequences to identify potential improvements.
- Assist with the implementation of required improvement measures.
- Support the systematic further development of the quality assurance system.
- Assist with maintaining the testing manual.
Requirements:
- Interest in electrical and/or mechanical technical environments.
- Willingness to support the testing of interlocking systems and related peripheral equipment.
- Must be available to participate in the learnership programme from Monday to Thursday, 7am to 4pm, and Friday, 7am to 1pm.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends on an ad hoc basis, where required.
- Must be a person living with a disability.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric / N3 qualification is preferred.
- Electrical Trade qualification or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering would be advantageous.
- No previous work experience is required.
- Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and eager to learn.
- Must be able to perform the essential requirements of the learnership, with reasonable accommodation where required.
