Full Job Description

Personal Assistant
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support for the management team of our South African-based business. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, organized professional with strong local market awareness and the ability to handle diverse tasks with discretion and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities
Manage daily schedules, including coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements (domestic and cross-border) for the management team, with a focus on adapting to South Africa’s regional logistics and time zones.
Handle correspondence (emails, official letters, and business documents), ensuring professional, compliant communication for local commercial activities and international liaisons.
Assist in organizing internal and external business events, such as client visits, project kick-off meetings, and industry networking sessions across South African regions.
Maintain confidential business and personnel records, implementing systematic filing and data management protocols aligned with local regulatory requirements.
Support ad-hoc tasks including expense reporting, procurement coordination for office supplies and project materials, and follow-up on pending business tasks.

Qualifications & Skills
Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent university-level graduation mandatory; Business Administration degree is a plus.
Nationality & Work Eligibility: Valid legal authorization to work in South Africa (citizenship, PR or work permit) – proof required upon request.
Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in administrative or personal assistant roles, preferably in South African commercial/cross-border business environments.
Language Proficiency:

Native/advanced proficiency in English & Afrikaans mandatory
Local languages (Zulu, Xhosa) are a significant advantage
Technical Skills:
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Basic project management tools & local business software preferred

Soft Skills:

Exceptional organization & time management for multi-tasking
Professional interpersonal & stakeholder liaison skills
High discretion, integrity & confidentiality for sensitive information
Adaptable & flexible for dynamic business needsAdditional Requirements
Valid South African driver’s license and ability to drive in urban/rural areas (essential for on-site coordination).In-depth understanding of South African business etiquette, cultural norms and local regulatory compliance.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
