Full Job Description

a Leading PPE distribution and VMI solutions provider servicing mining and industrial clients across South Africa. We are seeking a detail-driven and proactive Customer Order Expeditor to ensure customer orders are processed, tracked, and delivered accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end expediting of customer orders, including:

Coordinating and expediting customer orders from receipt to final delivery
Liaising with customers, warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure order fulfilment
Monitoring order status, stock availability, backorders, and delivery timelines
Following up on delayed, urgent, or priority orders and escalating where necessary
Ensuring accurate order capture, documentation, and system updates
Tracking deliveries and confirming proof of delivery (PODs)
Communicating order progress and delays to customers professionally and proactively
Assisting with resolving order discrepancies, shortages, or delivery issues
Supporting VMI store and site-based order requirements where applicable
Maintaining high levels of customer service and turnaround times

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) – essential
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in order expediting, customer service, sales support, or logistics coordination
Experience in PPE, warehousing, distribution, or industrial supply will be advantageous
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficient in MS Office (ERP / WMS system experience will be an advantage)
