Junior In-House Stock Controller

About the Role
We are looking for a Junior In-House Stock Controller to join our team. Our company develops and supports software and technology solutions for the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, and this role will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management, control and movement of our IT hardware and related stock.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a basic understanding of computer hardware, is organised and detail-oriented, and is looking to build their experience in stock control within a technology-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and record incoming IT equipment and stock.
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory levels are kept up to date.
- Pick, pack and prepare hardware and equipment for customer deployments and installations.
- Issue equipment to technicians and internal staff while maintaining accurate records.
- Perform regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Track the movement of hardware between the office, technicians, customers and suppliers.
- Assist with identifying, labelling and organising computer hardware and related equipment.
- Maintain a clean, secure and well-organised stockroom.
- Assist with returns, repairs, replacements and warranty stock.
- Work closely with the technical, support, procurement and deployment teams.
- Ensure stock is correctly documented within the company's stock/inventory system.
- Assist with basic hardware identification and troubleshooting where required.
Minimum Requirements
- A+ qualification
- N+ / Network+ qualification
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking equipment.
- Good computer literacy and ability to work with stock/inventory systems.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver's licence is required.
Advantageous Experience
- Previous in-house stock control or inventory experience.
- Experience working with IT hardware, POS equipment or networking equipment.
- Experience in a technical, IT support or hardware environment.
- Previous experience working with stock management or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware and equipment used in the QSR/restaurant industry.
