Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement, inventory control, and distribution of automotive parts to meet business demands.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations, implementing strategies for stock optimization.
- Supervise a team of parts personnel, providing training and guidance to enhance their performance and productivity.
- Coordinate with various departments, including service and sales, to ensure accurate parts availability for customer orders and repairs.
- Implement inventory management software and systems to streamline operations and improve reporting capabilities.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory status, supplier performance, and operational efficiency to senior management.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in parts management or a related field within the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or qualification in supply chain management or inventory control.
- Experience working with automotive parts and accessories.
- Familiarity with online parts catalog systems and e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of local market trends and customer preferences in the automotive industry.
