Caretakers job Vacancy

Job Description

A well-established Properties investment Company is seeking for a caretaker highly experienced facility Caretaker to oversee daily operations, coordinate maintenance tasks, and develop a sense of community across the Building.

Duties:

· Oversee all building and grounds maintenance, including building upkeep, pest control, plumbing issues, and minor repairs.

· Liaise with suppliers and external contractors, ensuring work is completed to standard.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including fire safety, security systems, and occupational health standards.

· Monitor lifts, gates, intercoms, lights, scheduling services and addressing faults as needed.

· Collect outstanding arrears.

· Provide reports on outstanding arrears.

· Assist residents professionally and address any building-related issues or conduct concerns.

· Keep Management informed with weekly progress updates and incident reporting.

Key Requirements:

· Matric

· 3 - 5 years relevant experience

· Male

· Proven experience in a caretaker, facilities, or building supervisor role for More than 60 units.

· Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, you'll be working with both tenants and owners.

· Practical knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, security systems, and general building maintenance.

· Demonstrates multitasking skills, autonomous time management, and quick thinking.

· Must reside in the flat provided on-site.

· Must have leadership skills.

· Reliable, calm under pressure, and always willing to help.

· Prior experience in managing contractors and project-based maintenance work

· Must conduct routine Inspections, Moving in and Moving out inspection.

· As a Building Caretaker, you will oversee the service and maintenance contractors and staff, execution of building related activities.

· Maintain and establish a mutually beneficial relationships with tenants and service contractors.

· Must be available for occasional after-hours call-outs and weekend support if needed.
