Full Job Description

Role Overview

The supervisor will coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy, productivity, and safety while ensuring compliance with company policies and South African labour and health & safety regulations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Production/ Manufacturing dept, transport providers, suppliers, auditors and regulatory authorities. The Warehouse Supervisor will report to the National Warehouse Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
Oversee inbound and outbound operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances
Ensure compliance with OHS Act and company safety standards
Liaise with transport, procurement, and customer service teams to resolve issues
Maintain warehouse housekeeping, equipment, and storage optimisation
Compile and submit operational reports
Responsibilities not limited to the above

Desired Skills and Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Matric Certificate (essential)
Diploma in Logistics/ Warehouse Management
Warehouse supervisory experience 3 – 5 years
Exposure to ERP/WMS systems and warehouse automation (desirable) 3 – 5 years
Health and Safety 3 – 5 years
Talent Management 3 – 5 years

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Supply Chain Management
Warehousing & Distribution Practices
South African Labour Law and OHS regulations
Warehouse processes (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch)
Inventory control and cycle counting

Personal Attributes

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Calm and methodical under pressure
High attention to detail and safety standards
Reliable, accountable, and solution-oriented
Passionate about renewable energy and continuous learning
