Afrikaans Tutor (Part-Time) – Midrand / Centurion
Dexter Tuition is looking for a passionate and dedicated Afrikaans Tutor to join our growing team. We are seeking an individual who can inspire confidence in learners and help them improve their Afrikaans language skills across reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality one-on-one or small-group Afrikaans lessons.
- Assist learners with language comprehension, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, oral preparation, and creative writing.
- Prepare learners for assessments, tests, examinations, and assignments.
- Develop personalised lesson plans based on each learner's academic needs.
- Track learner progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Dexter Tuition team.
- Create a supportive, engaging, and positive learning environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Currently studying towards or have completed a degree or diploma in Education, Languages, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Excellent command of Afrikaans (First Additional Language or Home Language level).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and helping learners succeed.
- Reliable, professional, and punctual.
- Own transport is advantageous for face-to-face tutoring.
Preferred Experience
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience teaching Grades 4–12 is beneficial.
