Full Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Control Room Operator to join our operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and is experienced in vehicle tracking, CCTV monitoring, and transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the Ndola Control Room to monitor all vehicles dispatched from various sites.
Update and maintain vehicle turnaround reports for:
Northbound movements
Southbound movements
South African corridor operations
Identify and report vehicles that are behind schedule to the Operations team.
Monitor security escort groups and ensure all updates are accurate and cross-referenced with vehicle tracking records.
Monitor CCTV systems across all BHL sites, including Reolink camera systems.
Ensure security guards report for duty at all designated BHL sites.
Report discrepancies, incidents, and any operational anomalies promptly.
Manage access control at the BHL Meyerton site.
Perform any additional duties assigned by the Control Room Supervisor or Management.

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).
Previous experience in a vehicle tracking or control room environment (advantageous).
Broad knowledge of cross-border transport and logistics operations.
Experience with CCTV monitoring.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literate with the ability to capture and update information accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Able to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays if required.
