Telemarketer (2 Positions) – Nigeria Mining Week 2026
Role Summary
VUKA Group is seeking two proactive and professional Telemarketers to support delegate acquisition and visitor attendance confirmation for Nigeria Mining Week 2026. This fixed-term role will focus on engaging contacts from existing visitor databases and registered attendee lists, promoting paid delegate opportunities, confirming attendance, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidates will be confident communicators with strong telephone engagement skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to daily outreach targets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to contacts from assigned visitor and attendee databases.
- Promote and upsell conference delegate registrations to qualified prospects.
- Confirm attendance of individuals already registered for Nigeria Mining Week 2026.
- Identify and qualify delegate sales opportunities for handover to the Delegate Sales team.
- Capture accurate lead information and ensure same-day referral of interested prospects.
- Send approved follow-up emails and registration information to potential delegates.
- Manage scheduled call-backs and maintain consistent follow-up activity.
- Update all call outcomes, notes, and contact details accurately after every interaction.
- Maintain data integrity by ensuring records are updated in real time.
- Complete daily timesheets and activity reporting, including dials, conversations, and records worked.
- Adhere strictly to approved call scripts, messaging, and event information.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in telemarketing, telesales, customer service, call centre, or lead generation roles.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy.
- Comfortable working toward daily activity and performance targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/data management systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Professional telephone manner and customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within events, conferences, exhibitions, or B2B sales environments.
- Previous experience promoting professional conferences or delegate registrations.
- Understanding of the mining, energy, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Experience working with CRM databases and lead qualification processes.

Contract Period: September 2026 to October 2026 (including post-event retention calling during the final week).
Performance Targets: 70-90 outbound dials per day, 55-70 records worked per shift, and 15-25 live conversations per day.
Pay: R7 500,00 - R8 000,00 per month
