Full Job Description

Seize this opportunity to join Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine, a values-driven Company that cares for its people unconditionally. Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine is a wholly owned subsidiary of Assore Limited.

Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, and is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.

The successful applicant will report to the Material Controller or nominee.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
Certificate: Storekeeping/Stock Control or relevant Supply chain certificate.
Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
Forklift Driver’s License
Advantageous: Supervisory Certificate.

EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

2 year’s Stores / Material Management in a Plant / Mining environment.

DUTIES (including but not limited to):

Coordinate and supervise the issuing and receiving functions of the Stores section as well as housekeeping and preservation of the stock.
Effectively solve and report queries related to the Issuing Sections. Generate reports regarding stock levels and un-actioned pick slips.
Support the receiving / issuing of the Store section. Monitor the availability of stock items in the stores for the purpose of production needs. Ensure correct storage and handling requirements for spares and equipment according to procedures. Assist in coordinating Receiving /Issuing of stock items according to processes and procedures. Reconcile and update all Issuing documentation. Coordinate cycle counts. Minimize and resolve cycle count variances. Reconcile physical balance with JDE balance for all stock. Ensure effective financial controls are applied.
Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.
Perform PTO’s and issuebased risk assessments as and when required.
Ensure mine-wide availability of fuel.
Supervise own team’s activities whilst ensuring safe working practices.
Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure good working relationships.

The successful candidate will be appointed on the Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine Conditions of Employment, which includes being certified medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
