Steel and Aluminium company is looking an experienced Welder
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication specifications.
- Preparing steel surfaces by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and beveling materials before welding.
- Measuring, marking, and aligning steel components for accurate assembly.
- Setting up and operating welding equipment
- Welding structural steel members, plates, pipes, and fabricated components according to approved procedures.
- Tack welding components to maintain alignment before final welding.
- Inspecting welds for quality, strength, and compliance with project specifications.
- Repairing defective welds by grinding, gouging, and re-welding as required.
- Using oxy-fuel cutting, plasma cutting, or grinding equipment to cut and shape steel.
- Ensuring welds meet applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements.
- Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on welding equipment and tools.
- Following approved welding procedures (WPS) and quality control requirements.
- Wearing and maintaining appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including hot work procedures.
- Identifying hazards and reporting unsafe conditions or defective equipment.
- Assisting with the fitting and assembly of steel structures before welding.
- Coordinating with supervisors, inspectors, fabricators, and steel erectors to ensure work is completed correctly.
- Keeping work areas clean and free of welding hazards.
- Recording completed work and reporting any quality or safety issues.
