MLOG Panel and Paint is a specialist commercial vehicle panel and paint workshop in Durban. We repair and spray trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles for top logistics companies. We’re growing and looking for a skilled Truck Spray Painter to join our team.
THE ROLE
We need an experienced Truck Spray Painter to prep, mix, and spray commercial vehicles to a high OEM finish. You’ll be working in our spray booth on trucks, trailers, tippers, and fleet jobs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Surface Preparation: Sanding, filling, masking, and priming of truck panels, cabs, and trailers
Paint Mixing: Accurate mixing of 2K, enamel, and fleet colours using paint codes
Spraying: Base coat, clear coat, and full truck resprays in booth. HVLP and conventional guns
Quality Control: Final cut, polish, and defect correction to meet customer standards
Booth & Equipment Care: Daily cleaning of spray booth, guns, and PPE
Safety & Compliance: Follow OHS procedures, PPE policy, and chemical handling protocols
Reporting: Log paint used and job completion times
REQUIREMENTS
Must Have:
☐ 3+ Years experience as a Spray Painter, with 1+ year on Trucks/Commercial Vehicles
☐ Trade Test / Panel Beating & Spray Painting Certificate - Advantage
☐ Experience with Spray Booth operations
☐ Ability to read paint codes and mix colours accurately
☐ Valid Driver’s License - Code 8 minimum
☐ Own tools - Advantage
☐ Attention to detail and quality finish
☐ Understands health & safety, especially with chemicals and PPE
☐ Team player, punctual, and reliable
☐ Can work under pressure to meet deadlines
Pay: R10 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
