We are seeking a skilled Systems Analyst/Developer to support the enhancement and maintenance of our in-house Oracle-based, APEX-coded terminal operating system. The role involves analysing system requirements, developing and implementing system improvements, and ensuring all enhancements are thoroughly tested and peer-reviewed. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, providing user training, and participating in on-site system implementations. In addition, the role requires strict adherence to system governance standards, with accountability for supporting audits and system health checks to ensure ongoing compliance and operational integrity.
Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the systems analysis and development of defined enhancements to the existing in-house Oracle-based, APEX coded terminal operating system
- To ensure that the required system and/or technical documentation associated with the development is created and/or maintained.
- To ensure all development is tested thoroughly and to provide peer review testing to other developers.
- To provide training to users as necessary
- To actively participate on-site on implementations
- To ensure that all system governance requirements are met and accept that auditing and/or health checks on systems can be done at random at any time to ensure that the system governance is in good order.
Qualifications and Experience
- Oracle Certification
- 3-5 years of development experience in Oracle / APEX
- An ICT-related diploma or degree will be advantageous.
- JAVA development experience will be advantageous.
