Be a part of iKhokha's dynamic marketing team, where creativity and passion for storytelling are at the heart of our brand. As our Content Creator, you'll bring the iKhokha story to life across various platforms, connecting with our audience through compelling content.
So, what will you do?
Be the Face and Voice: Step into the spotlight and embrace the camera as you create engaging, original content for TikTok, Instagram, and more. Your outgoing personality will shine through, making you a beloved figure amongst our community.
Content Creation: Ideate and execute engaging content based on latest industry trends, strategic insight and business objectives.
Craft Engaging Copy: Flex your copywriting skills by drafting compelling captions and social media copy, interview questions and scripts to support your videos.
Network and Build a Pipeline: Connect with thousands of business owners and play a central role in building a reliable creator pipeline at scale.
Champion Small Businesses: Your role extends beyond content creation; it's about being an ambassador for our business by connecting with small business owners and giving them a voice and a platform to share their stories.
Versatility is Key: From videos to podcasts, webinars to live events, your creativity knows no bounds. You'll be the mastermind and host, crafting content that resonates and captivates.
Collaborate and Innovate: Join forces with our talented team, contributing to strategic brainstorming sessions and developing cutting-edge content strategies that set us apart in the market.
Reporting and strategy: Compile reports to show creative performance on TikTok and build impactful strategies toward achieving your goals.
In addition to the above, you will:
Platform Growth Ownership

Own TikTok end-to-end from ideation to reporting

Gain a deep understanding of the algorithm

Analyse underperformance and know when to optimise based on data, rather than gut feel.
Content Creation
-
Ideate, produce, shoot and edit original, engaging content for platforms like TikTok.

Measure your performance, generate reports and build strategies that drive engagement and grow iKhokha’s online presence.

Use AI tools to generate hooks, scripts, content variations and repurpose long‑form into short‑form.
-
Build high‑velocity content workflows to significantly increase output and learning speed.
-
Participate in brainstorms as part of the larger team to develop campaign concepts and Always On collateral.
Creator Management and UGC
-
Identify and collaborate with micro‑creators and merchants.

Build a scalable UGC engine and help turn customers into creators through authentic storytelling.

Manage the merchant pipeline to find content creation opportunities and schedule shoots.
Trend Analysis
-
Proactively identify emerging trends before saturation and assess brand relevance.
-
Create culturally resonant content rooted in South African small business realities — local, relatable and non‑corporate.
Posting, Testing & Experimentation
-
Run weekly content experiments across hooks, formats, lengths and CTAs.

Build and maintain a structured testing roadmap to drive continuous learning and improvement.

Optimise posting cadence, timing and batching strategies.

Repurpose winning content across platforms (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) and collaborate with performance teams to scale winners.
Analytics and Business Impact

Track and optimise for watch time, average view duration, completion rate and intent signals.

Translate content performance into commercial outcomes where applicable (leads, installs, device sales).
Podcasts and Webinars

Contribute to informative and entertaining podcasts and webinars.
Live Events
-
Act as the face of iKhokha at live events, engaging with attendees and promoting our brand.
Copywriting

Write copy for social media and other channels in line with the overall creative strategy.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Film, Theatre Studies or related field.
Deal Breakers:
-
Minimum of 3 years' experience in content creation, with a strong portfolio showcasing creativity, skills in social media content, and event hosting.

Experience with generative and LLM AI tools

Experience in iPhone shooting
-
Editing experience with CapCut/Premier Pro
-
Track record in building platforms on social media, specifically TikTok.
