Good. That's exactly the kind of person we're looking for.
iClick is a print and design retail store, which means every day someone walks in wanting their logo "just a bit bigger," their photo "less blurry," and their business cards ready "by this afternoon." We need a design intern who can keep up, keep calm, and keep their kerning tight.
This isn't a "make coffee and watch from the corner" internship. You'll be in the thick of it — resizing, retouching, prepping files, and learning what actually happens between "client's idea" and "finished, printed, and out the door."
What you'll be doing
- Creating design layouts for customers who visit iClick stores
- Resizing and adapting artwork for all sorts of platforms and formats
- Photo editing and image retouching
- Prepping artwork for both print and digital production
- Spotting typos and misaligned elements before they become someone else's problem
- General design-related admin — because even creatives need a filing system
What you'll learn

What we need from you
- Currently studying towards, or recently completed, a National Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or something related
- Basic-to-proficient skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Comfortable working in Canva
- A portfolio — academic, personal
- A sharp eye for detail (typos and misaligned elements should genuinely bother you)
- Solid organisational and time-management skills
- A team player with good communication skills, written and verbal
- A proactive attitude and the resilience to stay sharp when it's busy
- Able to work independently, and yes — able to lift and move display materials when needed
This role will operate from our Westgate Mall store, located in Mitchells Plain.
We don't expect five years of experience. What we do expect is someone smart, hard-working, and genuinely keen to learn.
This is a 12-month internship.
