Job Details

Full Job Description

The Driver will be responsible for operating the organisation's vehicles for deliveries and collections daily to facilitate normal activities of the organisation

Driving:

Collect goods from different Centres, Head Office, Makro and any other sites
Collecting and delivering items as instructed by the procurement officer/line manager
Drive staff members and beneficiaries to where they need to go
Adhere to policies and procedure to attain department objectives
May have to work weekends when needed

Maintenance:

Ensure the vehicle is in good working order before trips and report problems to the line manager or procurement manager
Ensure the car is kept clean and tidy at all times

Qualifications and Experience:

Matric (Grade 12)
Drivers licence
Public Driver's Permitt (PDP)
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Required Skills:

Good driving record
Efficiency and time management
Detail orientated
Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws

Behavioural Competencies:

Be able to adhere to road signs and regulations
Competent, honest and friendly
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances where required
