Full Job Description

This is a small to medium sized logistics company, where you would be the only financial position. We required very strong analytical skills, and excellent knowledge of MS Excel (skill will be tested -no chancers).

The bookkeeping and administration functions responsible for all finance related functions, including management of ALL current processes and internal controls.

The following crucial areas form your main bookkeeping responsibilities:

1) Invoicing function, including tracking all unaccounted waybills for the current financial year.

2) Reconciling all debtor accounts and follow-up of outstanding balances.

3) Reconciling all 3rd party payroll payments.

4) Assets & Expenses: Keep track of asset costs and purchase documents; Manage, oversee physical asset tracking, verification and reporting of missing assets. Fuel Stock recons; Verify fuel records & calculations. Vehicle Maintenance expenses to be allocated per vehicle and copies given to Ops administrator. Creditors function where applicable (almost entirely run on cash payment terms). Allocation of bank transactions; ensuring only valid, approved payments are made. Filing of all supporting documentation.

5) Audit file preparation, account recons or breakdowns where required or requested. Responsible for all general journal entries, approval and supporting documentation.
