Operations Manager – Ultra‑Luxury Hotel

Location: Park Hyatt Johannesburg

Step into a leadership role at one of the world’s most celebrated ultra‑luxury hotels. We are seeking a visionary and commercially astute Operations Manager to orchestrate the seamless performance of our distinguished property. This pivotal role ensures flawless guest journeys, uncompromising brand standards, and inspired leadership across all operational divisions.

Role Overview

The Operations Manager is entrusted with the stewardship of daily operations, partnering with Heads of Department to deliver extraordinary guest satisfaction while safeguarding efficiency, profitability, and the hotel’s global reputation. As a key member of the executive team, you will shape the future of one of the world’s most iconic hospitality destinations.

Key Responsibilities

Curate and oversee every aspect of the guest experience, from arrival to departure, ensuring an atmosphere of refined ultra‑luxury
Uphold Michelin Key standards and elevate service benchmarks beyond expectation
Inspire and guide departmental leaders to achieve operational brilliance and collaborative synergy
Safeguard the elegance of rooms, public spaces, and facilities with meticulous attention to detail
Champion guest recognition, VIP experiences, and bespoke service recovery
Drive operational productivity, cost discipline, and revenue optimisation
Contribute to strategic budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term business planning
Ensure compliance with governance, financial controls, and statutory obligations
Cultivate, mentor, and empower teams to embody the spirit of ultra‑luxury hospitality
Represent Operations at the highest level of executive forums

Requirements

Proven success as an Operations Manager / Director of Rooms / Senior Rooms Leader in an ultra‑luxury or Michelin Key property
Minimum of 2 years holding the position of Operations Manager or Rooms Division Manager within a well‑known international brand
South African citizen, or foreign national with permanent residency status
Inspirational leadership with sharp operational and commercial insight
Mastery of Rooms, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Guest Services operations
Experience managing complex teams and diverse departments
Passion for guest‑centric excellence and bespoke service delivery
