Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy
- Lead the Senior Phase and High School in alignment with the school's vision, mission, and values.
- Develop and implement strategic plans that promote academic excellence and continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and respect.
- Build strong relationships with learners, parents, staff, and the wider school community.
Academic Leadership
- Drive excellence in curriculum implementation and assessment.
- Monitor learner achievement and implement strategies to improve academic outcomes.
- Support teachers through instructional leadership, mentoring, coaching, and professional development.
- Ensure effective curriculum planning, moderation, reporting, and quality assurance.
Staff Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate teaching and support staff.
- Promote professional growth through coaching and ongoing development.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Manage performance in accordance with school policies.
Learner Development
- Promote learner wellbeing, inclusion, leadership, and holistic development.
- Maintain high standards of learner behaviour and discipline.
- Encourage participation in sport, culture, leadership, and community engagement.
Operational Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Senior Phase and High School.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Basic Education requirements, school policies, and health and safety regulations.
- Manage timetables, staffing, resources, budgets, and school events.
- Contribute to strategic enrolment growth and parent engagement initiatives.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with parents and guardians.
- Represent the school professionally within the community.
- Promote the school's values and reputation through effective communication.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent.
- Honours or Master's Degree in Education or Educational Leadership will be advantageous.
- Current SACE registration.
- Minimum of 8–10 years' teaching experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within an independent or public school.
- Demonstrated experience leading Senior Phase and/or High School education.
- Sound knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and Department of Basic Education requirements.
- Strong understanding of curriculum management, assessment, and educational leadership.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
- Valid police clearance.
