Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 2–4 years' experience in payroll processing.
Experience processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.
Proficiency in PaySpace
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sound knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) and the Labour Relations Act (LRA).
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict payroll deadlines.
A payroll, accounting, or Human Resources-related qualification will be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Capture, update, and maintain employee payroll information, including new appointments, terminations, salary adjustments, leave, deductions, benefits, and allowances.
Ensure payroll records are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and legislative requirements.
Assist with the preparation and submission of EMP201 returns and EMP501 reconciliations.?
Assist with the preparation and submission of annual Compensation Fund (COIDA) returns.
Process and assist with Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) documentation, including UI19 and UI2.7 forms.?
Maintain the confidentiality and security of all employee payroll information.
Keep up to date with payroll legislation and ensure compliance with SARS, the Department of Employment and Labour, and all relevant statutory requirements.
Provide general administrative support to the payroll team as required.
