Full Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Creditors / Debtors Clerk to join our Finance Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, customer and supplier accounts, reconciliations, collections and general finance administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creditors:

Capture and process supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and process creditor payments.
Ensure invoices are correctly authorised and allocated.
Maintain accurate supplier account records.
Liaise with suppliers regarding statements, payments and queries.
Ensure all supporting documentation is properly filed.
Assist with month-end creditor reconciliations.

Debtors:

Process customer invoices and credit notes.
Allocate and reconcile customer payments.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
Assist with debt collection and payment arrangements.
Maintain accurate debtor records.
Provide regular debtors ageing reports and updates.
Liaise with customers regarding account and payment queries.

General Finance Duties:

Assist with month-end procedures and reporting.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Assist with general finance and administrative duties as required.
Ensure all financial information is handled confidentially.
Provide support to the Finance Department when required.

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 / Matric.
2–3 years’ experience in a Creditors and/or Debtors Clerk position.
Previous experience in a busy finance environment.
Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel.
SYSPRO experience will be advantageous
Good understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
Strong reconciliation and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Pay: R7 063,13 - R10 000,00 per month
