Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Facilitator, Assessor & Moderator to deliver, assess, and moderate the Occupational Certificate: Cyber Security Analyst (SAQA ID 118986). The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating learner development, conducting assessments and moderation activities, ensuring compliance with QCTO requirements, and supporting learner success throughout the programme.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate theoretical and practical Cyber Security training in classroom, virtual, and workplace environments.
Prepare lesson plans, training materials, presentations, and learner support resources.
Conduct formative and summative assessments in line with QCTO and AQP requirements.
Evaluate learner evidence and provide constructive feedback.
Perform internal moderation of assessments and Portfolios of Evidence (PoEs).
Monitor learner attendance, progress, and performance, providing intervention where required.
Maintain accurate learner records, assessment documentation, and compliance reports.
Support external audits, moderation, verification, and accreditation activities.
Ensure compliance with QCTO, NQF, Skills Development legislation, and internal Quality Management Systems.
Stay current with Cyber Security trends, technologies, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications

Relevant qualification in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, Network Security, or related field (NQF Level 5 or higher).
Occupational Certificate: Cyber Security Analyst or equivalent security qualification advantageous.
Accredited Assessor and Moderator qualification.

Experience

Minimum 3 years' experience facilitating Cyber Security or Information Technology programmes.
Minimum 2 years' experience conducting assessments.
Minimum 2 years' experience in moderation within an accredited training environment.
3–5 years' practical Cyber Security industry experience, including areas such as Security Operations, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Information Security, or Network Security.

Essential Requirements

Registered Assessor and Moderator (or eligible for registration) for the relevant qualification.
Strong understanding of QCTO processes, assessment principles, and moderation requirements.
Excellent facilitation, communication, coaching, and report-writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Strong attention to detail, planning, organisation, and compliance management.

Preferred Skills

Security Operations Centre (SOC) experience.
Threat detection and incident response.
Vulnerability assessment and cyber risk management.
Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) management and quality assurance practices.
