ROLE OVERVIEW
Anglo Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly commercially minded E-Commerce Manager to join one of the UK’s leading and fastest-growing wellness brands.
This is a fully remote South African-based opportunity, working closely with a UK team and taking ownership of the brand's Shopify e-commerce ecosystem across its UK, US and EU storefronts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company's online stores are fast, flawless, conversion-focused and continuously improving. You will work across e-commerce, performance marketing, retention, creative and development to turn website traffic into revenue.
This role requires someone who is both strategic and hands-on — a person who can identify opportunities, develop an approach and then take ownership of getting the work delivered to an exceptionally high standard.

THE ROLE
As E-Commerce Manager, you will be the internal owner of the Shopify ecosystem across multiple international storefronts.
You will be responsible for the customer journey from landing page through to checkout, ensuring that every aspect of the online shopping experience is optimised for usability, conversion and revenue.
You will partner closely with Performance Marketing, Retention Marketing, Creative teams and external developers, acting as the central e-commerce owner who ensures ideas are translated into high-quality execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. E-Commerce & Shopify Management
- Own end-to-end e-commerce performance across all Shopify storefronts.
- Manage and optimise the UK, US and EU online stores.
- Ensure websites deliver an exceptional customer experience across desktop and mobile.
- Maintain high standards for website functionality, UX, site speed and conversion performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve the online customer journey and commercial performance.
- Manage site merchandising, product presentation and landing-page experiences.
- Ensure campaigns and promotions are implemented accurately and on time.
2. E-Commerce Strategy
- Develop and execute e-commerce strategies aligned with commercial and marketing objectives.
- Tailor the website experience according to:
- Product category
- Campaign
- Customer journey
- Traffic source
- Geographic market
- Work closely with Performance Marketing and Retention Marketing teams to ensure website activity supports acquisition and retention strategies.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, conversion and customer value.
3. CRO & Experimentation
- Own the Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) programme across all storefronts.
- Develop and manage structured testing programmes.
- Conduct A/B and multivariate testing across:
- Landing pages
- Product detail pages
- Checkout journeys
- Popups
- Offers
- Traffic-source funnels
- Customer journeys
- Analyse test results and turn insights into actionable improvements.
- Continuously identify and remove friction from the customer journey.
4. On-Site Popups & Customer Capture
- Own the strategy and management of on-site popups.
- Manage email and SMS capture initiatives.
- Develop and optimise:
- Promotional popups
- Offer popups
- Exit-intent campaigns
- Lead-capture forms
- Optimise popup targeting, timing, messaging and creative.
- Maximise opt-in and conversion rates while protecting the overall user experience.
- Work with tools such as Klaviyo Forms or similar platforms.
5. Website Auditing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular full-site audits.
- Identify and resolve:
- UX friction
- Checkout issues
- Broken functionality
- Tracking gaps
- Mobile/desktop inconsistencies
- Site speed issues
- Merchandising errors
- Maintain clear documentation and QA processes.
- Develop and maintain website QA checklists.
- Ensure all updates are thoroughly tested before launch.
6. Site Builds & Project Management
- Own the end-to-end delivery of new website builds and major site developments.
- Act as the internal project lead between:
- Designers
- Developers
- Marketing teams
- Creative teams
- Internal stakeholders
- External partners
- Manage timelines, requirements and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on brief and to a high standard.
- Conduct thorough QA before launches and ensure there are no critical issues.
7. E-Commerce Technology & Integrations
- Own the implementation and testing of e-commerce software and technology.
- Manage and optimise integrations across the Shopify ecosystem.
- Work with CRO, analytics, tracking and personalisation tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve the e-commerce technology stack.
- Ensure integrations are implemented cleanly and function correctly.
8. Analytics, Reporting & Performance
- Own e-commerce performance reporting across all regions and storefronts.
- Monitor key commercial and conversion metrics, including:
- Conversion Rate
- Average Order Value (AOV)
- Revenue
- Revenue by site
- Revenue by region
- Funnel performance
- Page-level performance
- Popup opt-in rates
- Analyse customer and website behaviour to identify opportunities.
- Understand analytics and attribution.
- Translate data and insights into clear commercial actions.
- Provide regular performance updates to leadership and marketing teams.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should have:
- 3+ years of experience in DTC e-commerce.
- Strong, hands-on experience managing Shopify stores.
- Proven experience in Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO).
- Demonstrable A/B testing and experimentation experience.
- Experience managing on-site popup and customer-capture tools.
- Experience with Klaviyo Forms or similar platforms.
- Experience managing multiple storefronts, markets or regions.
- Strong understanding of website analytics and attribution.
- Strong commercial understanding of e-commerce performance.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept through to delivery.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of responsibilities.
- Comfortable working remotely with an international team.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate is not simply a Shopify administrator.
We are looking for a commercially minded DTC E-Commerce professional who understands how to use the Shopify ecosystem to drive conversion, revenue and customer growth.
You should be comfortable looking at a website and asking:
Where are customers dropping off? What is creating friction? What can we test? How can we improve conversion? How can we increase AOV? What does the data tell us?
You will need to be equally comfortable analysing performance data, developing strategy, managing developers and personally getting into the detail of the Shopify environment.
