Full Job Description

A well-established retailer who has been in the furniture and bedding trade for many years are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Retail Branch Manager at their branch in Somerset West

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Personnel management (HR related)
Assisting sales staff with customer, stock or services queries
Ensuring the biometrics’ clocking system is correct for all employees in the branch or payroll purposes
Liaising with buyers regarding special orders
Assisting sales staff and customers on the floor when needed
Filing and admin of the branch
Acting as Health and Safety Compliance Officer, specifically COVID-19 procedures
Managing stock take and compiling related reports
Compiling sales reports for the branch
Reporting to Regional Manager regarding general performance of the branch and staff
Assist with on-the-job training for all new personnel

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a manager in the furniture/retail industry
Must be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays
Own transport essential (might be required to travel between branches to assist when needed)
Must have Grade 12 / Matric
Clear criminal record
South African citizen / Permanent South African Resident
Reside in/or near the area

Work Location: In person
