Full Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a results-driven Social Media Manager to take ownership of the digital presence for two growing brands:

Futurama – Premium outdoor, optics, and tech retailer
Ultranexus – Importer & distributor of leading global brands

This is a hands-on, in-office role for someone who understands both content and performance marketing - equally comfortable creating engaging posts and optimising paid campaigns for ROI.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy and Planning

Develop and execute monthly social media strategies aligned with business goals
Build and manage content calendars across all platforms
Set SMART objectives and track performance against targets

Content Creation and Execution

Write compelling, brand-aligned captions and copy
Create detailed creative briefs for the graphic designer and videographer
Oversee the production of reels, static posts, stories, and video content
Ensure content is optimised per platform (Meta, YouTube, etc.)

Platform Management

Manage and grow:
Facebook
Instagram
WhatsApp Channels / Groups
YouTube
Schedule and publish content consistently
Maintain brand tone, voice, and consistency across platforms

Paid Media and Audience Targeting

Plan and execute Meta ad campaigns (Facebook & Instagram)
Set up audience targeting, retargeting, and lookalike audiences
Manage boosted posts and paid campaigns for performance
Continuously optimize campaigns based on results

Community Management

Engage with followers and respond to comments/messages
Manage groups and communities (including WhatsApp)
Monitor and maintain brand reputation online

Analytics and Reporting

Track key metrics: engagement, reach, conversions, ROI
Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports
Use data insights to refine strategy and improve results

Collaboration and Marketing Support

Work closely with the Marketing Manager on campaigns
Assist with event planning and execution (e.g. expos, activations)
Support broader marketing initiatives when required

Minimum Requirements

3+ years experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
Proven experience managing Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram)
Experience managing and growing a YouTube channel
Strong understanding of paid social media advertising
Experience with content planning and campaign execution
Proficiency in scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)

Key Skills & Competencies

Data-driven mindset – able to interpret analytics and optimize performance
Creative thinker with strong copywriting ability
Strong understanding of platform algorithms and trends
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple brands and deadlines simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and brand awareness
Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented

Advantageous (Nice to Have)

Experience in e-commerce, retail, or outdoor/tactical industries
Basic design or video editing skills
Experience with AI tools for content creation
Google Ads or broader digital marketing experience
